Craig Bade

I have been a member of our Michigan Chapter since 1983 and my father was one of it founding members. I have been on the board of directors and have been the editor of our award winning TRACKER MAGAZINE for 14 years and have given over 20 seminars on hunting at our International Conventions at Reno and Los Vegas.

Outside the continental US, I have hunted 12 times in Africa, 3 in Kyrgyzstan, 4 in Mexico, 5 in Alaska, 8 in Canada, and in Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, Scotland, Spain, New Zealand, Australia, and Turkey. I have gone big game fishing in Florida, Hawaii, Guatemala, Mexico, Costa Rica and the Caribbean. I have already booked hunts to the Arctic for musk ox, New Zealand for sambar and sitka deer, Arizona for coues deer, and back to Africa for hippo and hyena. While in Africa my wife will shoot the hippo and we will check up on the anti poaching activities and the school my wife and I have supported.

I am the one who puts together and runs the Chinese and Silent Auction items at our convention and also brings the buckets of chestnuts and "winter jade plants" to our fall chapter meetings.

For our clubs Humanitarian activities my wife and I have put together thirty fishing trips for challenged youth and served lunch for nearly 100 participants at our home this year alone.

In the past I have received both the MEMBER OF THE YEAR AWARD and the HUMANITARIAN AWARD from our chapter.

Not only do I write out and send all our cash donor forms to our chapter members during our fund drive but do all the billing and record keeping for our ads in the Tracker Magazine.

Through SCI-Michigan, my wife and I have built a school in Zambia for under served youth and contributed extensively to support anti poaching activities there. These functions are on going.

I have always been committed to SCI and it's goals. I have always been reliable and completely honest and straight forward in every thing I have done for the the world of hunting  and for our organization. I believe hunting encompasses far more than the animal we hunt and that the lasting result of our life  style of hunting brings benefits that will exist far beyond our own lives and will better our world. to our world because of what we do.
